Dr. Savneet said, 'By the time I was 12, I had already dabbled in Reiki.
My mother had developed a painful frozen shoulder. The doctor recommended surgery.
At my uncle's behest, I gave her a 45 minute Reiki healing. She started feeling better right away.
It was Gurpurb that day. We went off to the Gurudwara. After Langar she did sewa of washing utensils for 3-4 hours. The pain simply went away.
My first connection to Reiki gave me the confidence to move ahead.
Since then, I learnt as many modalities as I could. They came easily to me.
I also found that the source of all these is one. A benign universe that listens to you and smiles when you reach to it with your whole self - subconscious included.
I fell in love with ESP at 17 - Extra Sensory Perception. So, later it became my PhD subject as well.
I married at 20.
My son - as a child - was slightly autistic. He was hyper-active too and a terror to counsellors and neighbours alike.
No! - counsellors did not help much.
I worked closely with him for 2 years.
He was a different person by 10th. He scored 80% marks.
He is my biggest success story.
With healings, I helped friends and relatives but held back from turning professional.
Professionally, I became a trainer and a facilitator.
Spoken English. Realising your Aptitude - I began to help with these.
It soon opened entrepreneurial doors for me.
Life had its ups and downs. Professionally, when I would go through though times, I would start doing more healing for others.
My healings would work. I found my challenges would fade away too. I wanted to heal more and more.
I wanted to be available to as many people as possible. Whatever the reason they were unhappy or sad or constrained - I wanted to help.
I continued to wonder if I should become a professional healer.
The Sikh tradition - to which I belong - imparts in you a belief of doing sewa without looking for anything in return. It made my decision harder.
I reasoned, 'I am channelling energy for them. It is a give. If I don't get in return, I will probably have to come back again, to square accounts!.
Better to simply do what I can do well, and square off as best as possible - all in the here and now!
'Baaki Dekha Jayega!'
So, I turned into a professional healer and have not looked back since then.
A lady came to me, on the verge of her divorce. I did my thing. I urged her to start journaling. I also asked her to change her house.
Things worked.
The couple survived Covid together and are today parents of a beautiful daughter.
I was able to see around the corners of her constraints, merely because I had access to an additional vantage point.
From here, you also see that pains do not spare either the common man or the celebrity.
You also see, help is only possible when you are ready to be helped.
So, I make myself useful, as I can, when I can.
I made my choice by looking at others and how I could be useful.
